Terms of Service

Welcome to CAEL. By downloading, accessing, or using the CAEL mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About CAEL

CAEL is a psychology-first crypto education platform. We provide educational content, AI-powered learning companions, and tools designed to help you build understanding of cryptocurrency markets. CAEL is not a financial advisor. Nothing in the App constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or solicitation to buy or sell any asset.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CAEL. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration
• One account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted

4. Subscriptions

Plans and Pricing

• Weekly: $4.31 USD/week
• Annual: $105.11 USD/year (best value)
• Monthly: $11.51 USD/month

Prices are in US Dollars (USD). Actual charges may vary based on your location and applicable taxes.

Payment Processing

Subscriptions are processed through Stripe via an external checkout flow. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

Billing and Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You will be charged at the beginning of each renewal period
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App or by contacting us
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then

Refunds

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hi@cael.world within 7 days of a charge for consideration.

5. AI Token Purchases (In-App Purchase)

Token Packages

• 5,000 tokens — $1.99 USD
• 10,000 tokens — $3.99 USD
• 25,000 tokens — $7.99 USD
• 50,000 tokens — $12.99 USD

Token Terms

• Tokens are consumable — they are used when you interact with the AI companion
• Each AI message consumes approximately 100 tokens
• Tokens are non-refundable once purchased
• Tokens do not expire
• Token purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's Terms

6. AI Companion Disclaimer

The CAEL AI companion is powered by Google's Gemini AI and is designed for educational purposes only.

• The AI does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals
• AI responses are generated based on educational frameworks and may contain errors
• You should never make financial decisions based solely on AI-generated content
• Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions
• CAEL is not responsible for any financial losses resulting from actions taken based on AI companion responses

7. Educational Content Disclaimer

All content in CAEL — including lessons, quizzes, modules, and tools — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute:

• Financial advice or investment advice
• A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency or asset
• A guarantee of future results or performance
• Professional financial planning

Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and carry significant risk. Past performance does not indicate future results. You could lose some or all of your invested capital.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use CAEL for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Share, resell, or redistribute CAEL content without permission
• Use the AI companion to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
• Attempt to manipulate or abuse the token or XP systems
• Impersonate another user or provide false information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, curriculum, branding, and code in CAEL are owned by CAEL and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

Your user-generated content (such as AI conversations) remains yours, but you grant CAEL a non-exclusive license to use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• CAEL is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the App
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CAEL in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for any financial losses from cryptocurrency investing

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to premium content will end immediately
• Unused tokens are forfeited and non-refundable
• Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email. Continued use of CAEL after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
